Depending on how you use your ZBike, the buttons will behave in two different ways:
- Basic Mode: Manual use without connecting to simulators.
- Simulation Mode: Connected to apps like Zwift or MyWhoosh.
1. BASIC MODE (Manual Use) 🔌
This is the mode your bike is in as soon as you plug it into power, before opening any simulator. It is ideal for warming up or an easy spin without complications.
In this mode, the ZBike Infinity acts like a traditional stationary bike where you control the resistance manually.
⚠️ Important Note: In this mode, the buttons always do the same thing, regardless of how you configure your virtual gears later in the Zycle app.
How to adjust resistance?
You have 20 resistance levels available.
| Shifter | Action | Result |
| RIGHT (Any button) | Short Press | Increases resistance (+1 level) |
| RIGHT (Any button) | Long Press | Increases resistance rapidly (+3 levels) |
| LEFT (Any button) | Short Press | Decreases resistance (-1 level) |
| LEFT (Any button) | Long Press | Decreases resistance rapidly (-3 levels) |
2. SIMULATION MODE (Connected to Simulators) 🏔️
Time for action!
When you connect your bike to simulators (Zwift, Rouvy, MyWhoosh, etc.), the resistance adjusts automatically according to the slope of the virtual route.
At this moment, the buttons switch to controlling the virtual gears.
It behaves just like riding a bike outdoors.
You shift gears to tackle climbs and descents with the right gearing.
⚙️ Standard Configuration (SRAM Style)
Your ZBike Infinity comes configured by default to offer an intuitive shifting experience with 20 speeds (1x drivetrain).
- RIGHT Shifter: Shift to smaller cog (Engages a harder gear for flats or descents).
- LEFT Shifter: Shift to larger cog (Engages an easier gear for climbing).
DOUBLE CHAINRING (2x). Up to 24 speeds
Using the ZYCLE application, you can configure your Infinity to have 2 chainrings; you can have up to 24 speeds.
To shift chainrings, press the right and left shifters simultaneously.
⚙️ Gear Configuration
The ZYCLE App allows you to customize the Infinity's gearing, offering up to 24 virtual gears.
You can select between single or double chainring configurations, adjust the number of teeth on each cog or chainring, or choose from predefined cassettes.
Similarly, it can be configured to simulate shifting behavior like Shimano or SRAM.
❓ Troubleshooting
Why doesn't my left shifter change gears in the simulator?
If upon entering a simulator (like Zwift) you notice that the left shifter does nothing, but the right one works correctly, don't worry! Your bike is not broken.
What is happening?
Your unit likely has a different button configuration activated ("Shimano" style), designed to use only the right hand to shift up and down.
✅ How to fix it:
You can customize this to your liking very easily:
- Download the ZYCLE app on your mobile.
- Connect your ZBike Infinity via Bluetooth.
- Go to the button configuration section.
- Select the SRAM option (or customize the buttons to your preference).
And you're set! Now you can use both shifters to change gears.
