In environments with little humidity, there are certain tyres that generate a lot of static energy when they rub against the Zycle roller's metallic cylinder due to the rubber compound they are made from. If a large amount of static energy is generated, there may be communication failures between the roller and the device to which it is connected (PC or Tablet).
Zycle strongly recommends avoiding the use of:
Tyres to avoid
Michelin Lythion 2
Michelin Pro Race 3
Victoria Zaffiro Pro
Tacx Training Tyre
BTWIN Home Trainer
Schwalbe Insider Performance
Specific indoor hometrainer tyres
In general, we recommend avoiding tires with puncture-resistant reinforcements (kevlar, nylon, etc.) or materials that reduce friction (graphene, silicon, etc.). These materials tend to generate a lot of static electricity, which causes communication problems.
An economical, durable tyre that works correctly with Zycle rollers is the Michelin Dynamic Sport.
If you use MTB, the Vittoria Randonneur tyre is also recommended.
It is also recommended to always use tyres in good condition and with the correct air pressure. A worn tyre can cause the same effect.
